I'm Shari, nice to meet you. I notice many people put their ages in the "about me" portion of their blog, but I have decided to leave that somewhat of a mystery and let's just say "late 20's" instead.
For the past few years, I have been working as a school psychologist in the public school system. Prior to that, I worked as an autism specialist. Before that, well, it was a mixed bag of jobs--everything from working at the GAP to selling spa treatments to working as a tutor.
I met my husband while in graduate school. I was lucky since there were maybe a handful of guys who decided to pursue the somewhat female dominated profession of education. We met in the hallways and our relationship sparked (or rather, ignited) from there. We have now been married for almost three years. We recently became new parents in September 2008 and we are learning that all the parenting books in the world can't really prepare you for real life. I also didn't know what instant love was before I met my son.
My interests:
*Living an eco-friendly lifestyle
*Travelling and learning about different cultures
*Eating--especially chocolate or anything that can be classified as a dessert
*Gardening--although I am currently failing miserably with my backyard and in desperate need of help!
*Hiking
*Blogging (of course!)

Hi,
I found your blog recently and now I want just to say hello. That's a great blog. I have already found some great ideas I will use (I'm a Kids Yoga Teacher and therefore I'm always looking for fun things, games and inspiration!). I love the Toilet Paper ice breaker and the idea with creating your own comic.
Thank you for sharing!

Saw your comment over at Hylas site. Just wanted to say hello to a fellow San Diegan.

Hi! I just found your blog-I am interested in becoming a school psychologist, have been working with autistic children for 4 years, and I'm a new mommy. I also love cloth diapering, too! Weird. Anyway, just thought I would drop a line to say hey! If you know of any excellent educational psych/school psych programs in the SD/Riverside County areas, could you email me?
