Eco-Spotlight: Happy Heinys (and Giveaway!)

One of the first cloth diapers that I have ever tried was from Happy Heinys. I remember searching online and this cow print diaper caught my eye:

How cute is that? I just had to have it! I bought the Happy Heiny's One Size Pocket Diaper five months ago, and it's still going strong. The One Size diapers are adjustable to accommodate from newborn (about 7.5 lbs) to potty training (about 35 lbs). Since Mr. Bean was born premature, he didn't really ft the One Size until he was a couple of months old (when he was about 8 pounds), but once he reached that weight, the fit was great and we haven't had any problems with leaking.

The Happy Heiny's One Size diapers come in 22 different colors. There are also prints that are exclusive to this brand. New to the One Size line is the addition of snaps in addition to the original aplix (Velcro) version.

One of the benefits of a pocket diaper is that you can stuff it to your desired absorbency. The Happy Heiny's One Size comes with two thirsty microfiber inserts (one small and one large) that you can use either separately or together if you have a heavy wetter or for overnight use. I want to try the hemp Stuffins which gives you up to 7 layers of hemp fleece absorbency in the area in which you need it most (front for boys, middle for girls) without adding additional bulk throughout the diaper.
