Spotlight: Sports Guys (and giveaway!)

Remember the good ol' days when action figures and army men took over the playroom? My twin and I used to play hours on end with these toys. I was excited when Kaskey Kids contacted me to check out their award winning sports action figures that hark back to these simpler times.

Kaskey Kids was founded by Bruce and Christy Kaskey after they discovered that the perfect sports figures did not exist for their sons. After their exhaustive search, Bruce and Christy designed a boxed set of sports action figures with the goal of encouraging creative and imaginary play.

The result of their work are five lines of sports action figures including Football Guys, College Football, Hockey Guys, Baseball Guys, and Soccer Guys and Girls. My nephew eagerly volunteered to help with this review. Since he just started playing soccer, he chose the Soccer Guys. The Soccer Guys set includes:

My nephew was excited to set up his team and immediately started playing a game. He had the players "kick" the ball as they passed to each other and would cheer when he scored a goal. Best of all--it kept him occupied while his mom made dinner and he even turned down playing a video game so that he could continue to play with his Soccer Guys.

The Sports Guys sets are a great way to encourage imaginative play, especially if your child is a fan of sports. With no set rules, he was free to decide how he wanted to play the game (and of course, his team won every time!)

My nephew shared with me that he is excited to show his friends his soccer team and play a game against them. I have a feeling that he may be requesting the Baseball Guys for his upcoming birthday. . .
