Supplies:
Cardstock
Brown non-toxic (washable!) paint
Feathers (we picked up a bag at our local craft/hobby store
Paintbrush, sponge, or pie tin
Glue
Markers
Alternative:
Chocolate pudding instead of brown paint.
Simply use a paint brush or sponge to dab paint on your child's hand (You can also use a pie tin and just dip your child's hand into it--Bean prefers this method so he can squish the paint all over his hands). Help your child press their hand onto the cardstock. Repeat for yourself if you want to make a Mama or Papa turkey.
Once the handprints dry, simply glue feathers on each finger. You can make eyes and legs with a marker. Afterwards, I thought of using cut up pipe cleaners for the legs and maybe adding some of those googly eyes. Alas, we'll have to wait til next year.
Easy as pumpkin pie (at least the kind that you get already made from the grocery store!)
