It's been a week and we are still adjusting in the Psych Mama household. Sure Bean was able to get over jet lag from two cross country trips over the summer pretty easily--but winding our clocks back one hour for the end of daylight savings? Forget about it!
4:30 a.m. wake up calls have been the norm. What's strange is that he used to wake up at 6:30. Now if I'm doing my math correctly, Bean is waking up a full hour earlier than if we didn't turn back our clocks.
I also hate the fact that it's dark now at five which hinders our evening stroller walks and is messing with my exercise mojo. As soon as it gets dark, I'm ready to don my pajamas and crawl into bed. I've also been craving more "comfort foods" for dinner lately, and by "comfort" I mean fast food. I just don't have the motivation to cook a full on spread when it's dark (yes, I'm spoiled with the California sunshine--it's like I turn into a pumpkin when the sun sets).
So until the winter solstice on Dec. 21st (when daylight starts to become longer again), I'll be hibernating in my home and praying that Bean will adjust to the time change like now.

Oh, I hope he adjusts quickly!!! Enough of this nonsense.
Good luck. We are barely feeling the time change. Last week my girls were so sick I barely noticed. Their sleep cycles were so thrown off. Yesterday, I was getting ready to put Chloe to bed and realized it was only 5:30!
Um yeah, we've been eating WAY too much fast food around here! Also, our Bean has recently developed a lovely habit of entering our bed at 2am and not really falling asleep, keeping us up. I blame it on daylight savings.
I hate DST too! I hope Bean's internal clock resets soon! Thanks for the reminder that longer days are around the corner.
