Holiday Spotlight: Things Remembered Custom Couture Jewelry Collection (and Giveaway!)

With the holidays quickly upon us (it actually isn't sneaking up that much considering I saw Christmas decorations at my grocery store at the end of September), it's time to start making our gift lists.

When looking for the perfect Christmas gift, I really try and give something unique or personalized to show the recipient that they are a very special person in my life. My niece, Nan, was recently adopted from Thailand and this will be her first Christmas in the U.S., so I was on the hunt for something extra special to commemorate this event.

The first step in making your Custom Couture Jewelry is to choose your bracelet or necklace (or select both to make a set!). I chose a sterling silver linked chain necklace with a heart shaped locket. Since she has traveled far away from Thailand, I thought it would be nice for her to be able to keep pictures of the people that she holds special near her heart.

The second step is to personalize with either initials, birthstones, or CZ accents (including a butterfly, cross, and star among others). I chose to add her initial "N" with the pearl accent: The last step to personalizing your jewelry is to add a custom engraving. You can select to write your own message, add a monogram, or initials as well as select from a variety of fonts. To make the process even easier, there are recommended fonts selected by experts from Things Remembered that have pre-selected the best font styles for your jewelry items.

For Nan's locket, I wavered back and forth as to what to engrave her locket with. In the end, I decided to simply engrave her first name using the script font.

Nan's locket arrived the other day (orders require two business days for production before shipping.
