Spotlight: Ouch Pouch (and Giveaway!)

Now that Bean is walking, I have noticed that he tends to get more "owies" lately. We're also more active and on the go more--at the park, zoo, play dates, and hikes. I previously had a mini first-aid kit just tossed into my diaper bag, but I noticed that the zip top plastic bag that I placed everything in kept getting holes in it (the tweezers and thermometer were always the culprit).

So how does the Ouch Pouch hold up? For this Spotlight post, we were sent a Basic Loaded Ouch Pouch that included a travel size sunblock, Neo to Go, tweezers, band-aids, antibacterial wipe, and a lollipop (because of course a lollipop helps to make the owie go away!).

Because of it's convenient size (it's just a little bit larger than my cell phone), I was easily able to toss it not only into my diaper bag, but also into the glove compartment of my car, my purse, our stroller, and even in the pocket of the our carrier that we use for hikes. The tough clear vinyl holds up to all the punctures that my zip top bags couldn't handle and allows me a quick view of all the contents inside.

I also chose a fabric that was more "mom-friendly" to hold my own owie kit. I filled my Ouch Pouch with band-aids, blister care band-aids, a mini antibacterial gel, and my headache meds. I have my Ouch Pouch tucked away in my purse, and I have to say I'm kind of excited for my next boo-boo just so that I can show off the cute little pouch.
