Thanks to all of you who gave input on my Facebook and the Boss post. I sat on it for a few days and then I just decided to go for it and confirmed her as my friend. Call me a chicken, but I was more anxious about having a conversation about the separation of work and home (I know, I know, I call myself a school psych. . .)
Before clicking the "confirm" button, I did scour my wall and pics to make sure that there was nothing that I would regret later (yup, I would say I kept it Rated G throughout--how boring).
Of course curiosity got to me and the first thing I did was check out her wall and pics. It's actually nice to see her from a different point of view than my boss who wears a suit and sits across from me in meetings. It's amazing how humanizing it can be to see family pics and read updates about parking tickets and volunteering. If anything, it confirmed my beliefs that she is a cool person both at work and at home, and I'm glad to be her Facebook friend.

Oh that would be a tough decision! At least you see the personal side of her now :)
good job! It is kind of cool to see that.
Happy to see you came to a conclussion. The humanizing factor of social networking is the only plus in my book. It's always nice to see the other side of folks you work with....
