Spotlight: Boppy Newborn Booster and Protective Cover (plus Givewaway!)

When my pregnant friends ask me what are the must-have items to buy for their little ones, without hesitation I say, "Get a Boppy!" I have used our Boppy Feeding and Infant Support Pillow from day one and have found it invaluable. Just for fun, here's a quick trip down memory lane with Bean and his Boppy:

As a Boppy fan, I'm pleased to share with you two new products--the Newborn Booster and the Protective Cover for Boppy pillows.

The Newborn Booster
The Newborn Booster assists in elevating your child's head to the recommended 30-45 degree angle to reduce reflux during feeding. The angle is adjustable as the booster folds over to increase height adjustment as needed. For easy cleaning, the slipcover is removable and machine washable or dry clean.

To help keep the Newborn Booster in place, there is a strip of material that is attached to the booster and wraps around the bottom of the pillow. You can see placement of the security tab and the booster in the flat position in the picture below:
The Protective Cover
The Protective Cover is a nice accessory for your Boppy to help limit your pillow washings. In response to feedback from their customers, Boppy created this water-resistant and hypoallergenic cover to protect from wetness.

To use, simply place over a Boppy Bare Naked Pillow, add the Protective Cover, and finish off with a fashionable Boppy slilpcover.I wish these products were around when Bean was born as he had horrible reflux and our doctor told us to try and keep him elevated at a 45 degree angle when feeding him. The Newborn Booster would have really come in handy to position him correctly. We also had a few spills and accidents that necessitated tossing the pillow in the wash, which meant that we had to use our second Boppy (yes we have two!) to finish feeding. If we had the Protective Cover, we could have just tossed the slipcover in the wash, put on another cover, and continued to feed.

Overall, I think these are great additions to the Boppy line of products. My only suggestion to improve on the products is to maybe create a line of matching slip covers for the Newborn Booster. There are so many stylish fabrics to choose from to personalize our pillows, so for the fashionista mom, a coordinating cover might be a nice addition!
